Should I diconnect each battery
Plan on being away for 5 mths. and will leave '06 txt in air conditioned garage.
As the batteries range in Specific Gravity readings from 1.255 to 1.220 would it be advisable to pull off each neg. wire and let each battery sit independently? Thanks for your time . |

Re: Should I diconnect each battery
Batteries should be stored fully charged. Five months is borderline too long to leave the batteries without a topping charge. Batteries will self discharge. Batteries at rest should be charged whenever the open terminal voltage falls below 2.10v/cell to avoid sulfation on the negative plate. Some mfrs may be slightly less on open terminal voltage.
Got anyone that can come by and check about half way or so through your absence? |
