Default Power Meter

I know that my batteries are fully charged, but the meter is flashing at the low end scale of "E". Are these type meters junk and unreliable for the most part?

Unplug the meter. Wait a minute or two then reconnect and see if the meter resets. Do this after a full charge cycle.

pggroves hit it on the head. That is why I put a toggle switch in mine. I also put the F/R in forward or reverse when I flip the SOC meter on. I found that some time it wouldn't reset the meter if it was in neutral. Don't know why, so no big deal. It resets then and all is well. When I plug in the charger, I put the R-T toggle in tow mode and the SOC in the off position. When the charging is done, they both go back to the run/on position.

See the toggle switch taped to one of the battery cables just to the right of the controller? That where I made it easy to reset...

Looks like I am going to have to install a toggle switch to reset this problem then huh? Might be the key switch also then, the lead wires for SOC meter come off of the key switch, thought it might reset with every turn of the key but it doesn't look that way.

Thanks Guys!

I read where one of the gurus here said that you don't want to tie it into the key switch. If you do that, it will reset every time you turn the key off. Then you won't know how much charge you actually have from that point until you recharge again. I didn't go that route simply from what I read, and that's good enough for me. So the easy fix is to add the toggle like I've got. It's right there beside the R/T switch so it's easy access.

Only problem is mine is a 1997, so no R/T switch to tap into. And I think the key switch wiring was OEM type stuff. Will have to circumvent the system it seems to get it working again.
