Default Battery question for stereo install

Gonna do a stereo install. Prolly just an amp pushing 6X9s. Going to run off a 12v not connected to the pack. Question is do I go regular car bat or deep cell marine? Whatcha think?

The deep cycle marine will handle the duty better than a cranking battery. Car starter batteries do like to be discharged deeply and then require immediate recharging. A voltage converter would be best

I used the Poly Planar mp3 kit with an Autozone motorcycle battery and an onboard 1.5amp charger. Isolated from the cart batteries, and will play all weekend on a charge. Battery and charger cost as much as a 25amp converter, but I don't worry about the wife being stranded after listening to the radio at max volume all day on the beach. Everything fits in the driver side of my TXT and runs off my MP3 player so I have radio, games, music and videos if needed. Only gripe is the speakers could have been a little better, but for the price, it works great. If you look at the marine amps/radios/speakers, you will find some good stuff, just be prepared to do a little work to get everything the way you want it.

i usually put a blem battery in the cart and hook all the accessories to it. The battery is just a regular car battery. they last 2-3 years b4 needing replaced. they cost me aobut 30 bucks a piece.

I just installed a radio/amp in my 06 cart. I elected to use a rechargeable battery pack installed in the right dash cubby hole. Don't have to worry about cabling from the battery compartment and noise from the controller.

It's only 100 watt but does the job. I used a motorcycle setup that's water proof so no problem with the wx. either.

Just ordered a solar 1 watt charger to keep my battery pack charged. This way I hope to not have to hook up a separate charger to keep my stereo going or take the battery pack out to charge. I find, with my driving habits, I only have to charge the main batteries about once a week.

I plan to install the solar array on the roof. This particular array is waterproof.

What are you going to do when the battery is charged? The solar panel will still be charging her. Watch out with over charging.

Very good point Jose. This unit has "Overcharge protection". I'm hoping that means it will trickle charge.
This thing smokes my stereo. I'm gonna be pi**ed!

I was gonna do the same thing. I would have bought a solar pannel and a controller for the panel
