Re: wild ride (elc ezgo galf cart prob)
Sorry, that was funny for us! Looks like you need to take a hard look at the wiring and do a complete hand over hand check of all connections, then look at your FWD/REV switch, check solenoids and throttle contacts. Something obviously isn't right, but you need to look at everything to make sure this doesn't happen again. There are schematics available in the stickies and lots of help around here We won't laugh without helping out!

SAFETY FIRST! For all you kids at home:
ALWAYS PUT THE CART ON JACK STANDS SO THE REAR WHEELS ARE NOT ON THE GROUND WHEN FIRST CONNECTING POWER TO A CART OF UNKNOWN CONDITION. GLAD YOU WERE NOT HURT.... |

Stuck solenoid?
If a resistor cart (likely but there were some controller carts in 1988 ) then the accelerator board and linkage. FNR + micros especially the micro on the speed board if so equipped. Kinda hard to help diagnose without knowing what system. I didn't laugh, very much. |

Re: wild ride (elc ezgo galf cart prob)
First off welcome. this is a great site and everyone helped me with my 88.
I will assume it is a resister cart and the cart was left in F on the FnR switch. Look for the simple things first. Check the rubber mat as it may be keeping the pedal from returning all the way. that would be the simple solution. check the wiper arm. as it also may not be retuning all the way to the first contact and slightly touching the second contact which engages the motor. If the whole control board may have shifted. good luck joe |
