where to find a switch?
does anyone know a source for a on off switch the same size as a pds fnr switch or a state of charge meter? I want to put a 3 position key switch in to power my converter. Would like to use a cut out plate made for pds with soc meter. I would like to use the soc meter cut out for my light switch.
if someone has a pds key plate with the soc meter cut out and an extra fnr switch (or a on/off copy) I would like to buy it. thanks |

Re: where to find a switch?
DVR, I'm confused. Which switchplate do you have now, and what is mounted in it?

Re: where to find a switch?
I have the stock plate with a keyswitch and f/n/r rocker switch. I am going to add a 3 position keyswitch, using the 3rd position to activate my voltage converter. I would like to add the plate with a cut out for the state of charge meter and use that cut out to mount a on/off switch for my headlights. I have a stereo and want it powered when the switch is in the 3rd position. This would also power the light circuit that I want to control via an additional rocker. Can't seem to find a simple on/off switch the same size as the f/n/r switch. It looks like I may have to get an additional f/n/r switch and wire it as an on/off for the lights. I will be able to figure that out just hate to pay $40 for a light switch in this case. However, I could easily use the on/off for a f/n/r in the event of a failure.
does that make sense? |

Re: where to find a switch?
This may not be the "look" you were going for, but it is functional. The center rocker is a SPST LED capable of 15 amps. Drill one hole and you're ready to wire it any way you want. |

Re: where to find a switch?
thanks. I could work with that. just need to find a switch and a plate. local guy has the plates so I will stop by tomorrow. I added my light switch between my current key switch and f/n/r switch and I am not pleased with the look. At a minimum I will need a replacement oem plate. Thanks again for the pics, links and ideas.
