Replacing Batteries
I have a '96 EZ GO TXT series cart. The Trojan T-105's are '06 batteries. So far they are still holding a charge and give me good driving range. But, I know they will need to be replaced in not too much longer. I've looked at the sticky and according to the info and other older posts I've seen here it seems that Trojans are the favored replacement. My questions are:
1) Are Trojans still the favored battery? 2) Is there another battery worth looking at? 3) Does anyone know a good source in or near Jacksonville, Florida? Thanks, KIX |

Re: Replacing Batteries
Trojans are still preferred in my opinion, but everyone has those. I have purchased them, and Exide, others have purchased US Battery. I will not get into the argument of each one, basically it comes down to maintenance, and breaking in the batteries correctly and then doing your monthly maintenance.
Go to the trojan website and enter you zip code for your area you should be able to find a dealer local to you. Good Luck |

Re: Replacing Batteries
LostHusker is correct about maintenance being the key.
I currently have Trojan T-105's dated Apr 2004 and they are going strong, still holding a 6.35v charge and will do 36 holes a day with 40% charge left in the batteries. That being said, my next pack will be Energizers from Sam's Club, the specs are similar and 40% difference in price is too much to ignore. |
