Default Intermittent Dead

The complaint:

2005 EzGo TXT

The issue it that sometimes (after running just fine) it will not go. You here it the solenoid triggering but will not move. After a few times of switching back and forth from reverse to forward and keeping your foot down on the accelerator it will bolt.

Anyone seen this before? I've yet to have my hands on it but wondered if anyone has seen this or have suggestions.

Sounds to me you have a bad f-n-r switch. check for loose connections and burnt terminals.

I had the same thing on a 2006 pds. it was the solenoid. solenoid showed signs of overheating once the heat dome (solenoid/controller cover) was removed.

I would lay odds on it being a bad solenoid from the information you have given.
