Battery cleaning time
I clean my batteries with a garden hose. I make sure all the caps are on tight, flip the tow switch to tow, and wash 'em down. I try to be careful not to flood the controller or charging outlet.
I then bungie the seat up until the sun dries the batteries off. Any body doing anything different? Keeps them looking nice. |

Re: Battery cleaning time
Thats pretty much how I do mine except I sprinkle some baking soda over them and then use a brush around the terminals before rinsing.

Re: Battery cleaning time
Yes it is good to wash your batteries, but you need to use baking soda mix some in a bucket of water and wash them down with a brush it will neutralize battery acid that gets on top of the batteries form charging, wash off good with water then I blow the water off everything with my yard blower works great

Re: Battery cleaning time
I know this is a little over board, but I remove mine from the cart in order to clean them, this way the batts get moved around, not put back in the same order, and clean them, let them dry then re-intall
Maybe a little over board, but they look good |

Re: Battery cleaning time
When you remove the batteries for cleaning you can also check the support brackets for rust/corrosion and clean/refinish as necessary. Also, you don't have to worry about water entering components that don't take kindly to getting wet.

Re: Battery cleaning time
Keep them FULL, CLEAN, and CHARGED!
A leaf blower after washing is a great idea. So is an application of tire shine to the entire battery bay. |
