brake parts
i was in the process of changing out brake shoes on my fathers 2001 pds. the shoes they gave him are little bit bigger. adjusted screw all the way in and they still dont seem to fit. also got a new cable and drivers side cable is much shorter and passenger side is longer than the old. do i have the wrong part? could they have given me parts for older cart?

Disconnect the cable and then put the drum on.... does it fit?
Driver's side cable 37.5 inches long Pass side cable 47.5 inches long Hope this helps |

tried that. drivers side is too short. 33 inches is what new cable measures on drivers side. guess they gave me wrong stuff huh?

Yeh, sorry to say you got the Marathon cables..... you want the TXT cables.....1994 and up Medalist & TXT
Just thought you may have the wrong shoes too? |

he was having a problem with drivers side grabbing... real sensitive. new cables and pads fis this?

Ezgo? Brakes grabbing? There has got to be a problem.... they are not overly effective, generally speaking.

I have had my brakes grab badly after setting about 5 mos, [ im a snowbird] I pull the drums, clean & rough up with emery and then they work as designed.[ i started to say work good]. kirk
