Anyone Notice?
EZ-GO carts are now all 48 volts? I suspect this is a good thing in the long run, but a cost cutting measure by EZ-GO since 4-12 volt batteries are less expensive then 6-6 volt batteries. Down side is less run time.

Re: Anyone Notice?
I'm not sure it is cost cutting as opposed to run time requirements for each type of cart
The only carts that use 4x12v are the RXV carts with the AC drives which are more efficient. The RXV uses 20% less energy to cover the same ground as the PDS. All of the shunt wound (PDS) carts still use the 6x8v configuration. |

Re: Anyone Notice?
I don't know about where you are located, but around here, the cost difference between 6 - 8's and 4 - 12's is only about $20-30.....
Doug is dead on though, the RXV can handle the 4 - 12's only because of the AC configuration. |
