need help on EZ-GO DCS
I just purchased a new 500amp controller and heavy duty solenoid. I hooked everything up but it does not move. I believe it may have something to do with the solenoid and diode. Does anyone have experience with wiring these up?

Re: need help on EZ-GO DCS
Can you provide a pic of your installation showing your new controller? What kind of solenoid did you purchase as well. This will be helpful to help you. Also does the controller power up when you turn the key switch? If you purchased an Alltrax it should blink green when you first power up.

Re: need help on EZ-GO DCS
i have an alltrax 500amp controller with a heavy duty solenoid. i wired it up according to the wiring diagram they included but nothing happens. the controller blinks green, the solenoid clicks when i move from forward to reverse but the reverse horn stays on the entire time loudly. i am stumped. i will try and take a picture of the solenoid shortly.

Re: need help on EZ-GO DCS
Alltrax makes many 500 amp controllers. Please give the model # from the tag on the controller so we can see if it is correct for your cart (is the cart series DCS PDS ? What year?) And the same holds true for "heavy duty' solenoid....... more info and a link to the diagram you have used will help enormously.

Re: need help on EZ-GO DCS
the cart is a 1996 DCS cart. The controller is an Alltrax controller, 5021TS and the solenoid is part number MZJ-400S, also known as a SOL-36V-400A.
here is the wiring diagram i am using. http://www.ddmotorsystems.com/EZGOSeries.pdf |

Re: need help on EZ-GO DCS
.. that's the wrong diagram. That is for a Series cart. hang on while I go look up that controller # . Did you get it at D&D? It should have a # like 400DCX or 300AXE? 500NPX?

Re: need help on EZ-GO DCS
no where on the controller does it say that but on the packing slip it is listed as a DCX500-DCS/TS-5021. IF it would be easier, you can call me. i sent you a private message with my phone number

Re: need help on EZ-GO DCS
Yes, 500DCX is what we needed. And the Solenoid is correct.
but you have a series diagram... you need to grab the DCX diagram... |

I just found this diagram and it does not even have the controller going to the solenoid. this has to be incorrect. I have the B+ going from the controller to the #2 big post on the solenoid and then the #1 post going to the pos on the battery through their fuse they sent to me |
