Default Electrical help NEEDED BAD

I have a 1996 dcs cart. It quit working yesterday, stopped moving and beep beep beep nonstop until it put it in tow/maint. I go out today to check connections and it was working. I thought I would drive it down to get the mail got about ten feet and same thing. Pulled cover off of controler and found the pos battery cable on sol. just about burned off. I solidered new ends on a new #4 cable and cleaned connections. got on it again and it went 10 feet and quit!!!! What should I do next? HELP PLEASE!!!! Brian

Brain

I fear that your controller may have gone to its final resting place. Click on the link, you can find a manual for your cart to download and read the testing part. I have also attached one Scotty did, works well go through the steps it will help determine exactly what wrong. Good Luck

Looks like it is time for a aftermarket controller and heavy duty solenoid. Was hoping you guys could help me figure what to get. My cart is a 1996 Ezgo DCS 36 volt it has a 4" lift slightly bigger tires( want to go a little bigger someday) it has headlights and taillights and I am building a utility box out of 3/4 emt. The cart is used for yard work and hunting, not real hilly but some small hills. What Alltrax controller and solenoid do you think? Will I have to do anything to the fnr switch? I will be ordering from Buggies Unlimited. Thanks guys for all the help.

Hello! That's not right ....... If you want to buy BU product then post on their site and ask their opinion. BGW has their own sponsors which help keep this site up and running... I'm gonna guess you didn't know that.

I have to agree with Scotty....... BU has their own forums for discussion (nowhere near as helpful as this one of course), and we have great sponsors that help to keep this site up and running. If you are going to order, order from one of our sponsors, they are all great people to deal with.
