Western Elegante EZ-GO Chassis ID??
I just bought a Western Elegante i searched the board and found out that they are on a EZGO chassis, so i searched some more and found the serial number on frame, and how to decode it. Tell me if i decoded it right and if not what should it be.
10009086 100- Series 100 ezgo chassis 09- Built in sept 0 i figured its a 1990 model 86 is number built so far that year I'm hoping to get it running been sitting awhile but i got it for 200 bucks so here it is any help would be greatly appreciated, i'm going to start a built thread on it in Members Rides forum. |

The battery bay looks like it is built on a Marathon chassis
Looks like it does have a solid state speed control box. |

Re: Western Elegante EZ-GO Chassis ID??
$200 is an awesome price for that car! Rebuilding it would be a joy. When finished you will have a truely nice ride. The base frame is from a Marathon cart with modifications from Western, but most all Marathon parts will fit it so it shouldn't be too much trouble. The only thing you might run into an issue with will be if you decide to lift it and add larger wheel/tires.
Great find and I look forward to enjoying your build as it goes on! |

Re: Western Elegante EZ-GO Chassis ID??
I believe 94 was the last year E-Z-GO produced that frame.
There are alot of upgrades you can do (including upgrading to 48v if you wanted to). You need to decide what you want to do with it long term. |
