this would probably get more response in the EZ-GO forum...

I don't remember the normal price for the chips, haven't sold one in over a year, but I deal mostly with Club cars..

The freedom chip consist's of a plug that cost a couple bucks along with some wire. I would say NO its not worth $50

It's this plug that jumps different connectors on the controller. One of our members (Andy4639) makes and sells this connectors with switches so you can change it without having to change the plugs.

Short answer is: No - not worth $50.

It is however worth $12-$17 for the single plug - or however much the "variable" one mentioned above is.

No, if memory serves me correct...it will be a series style controller.

If some shady dealer tried to sell you this plug for $50 please let me know. I'll be sure and put them on the ban list. Thats not right.

The speed & hill chips started in late 2000 Ezgo's. Most are 2001 model's.
