Default New DCX500 and No Improvements

i have a 2010 E-Z-GO Sport 2+2 and after reading on the forum for several weeks, decided to upgrade! Alltrax DCX500, HD Solenoid, 4 Guage wires, D & D motor (5021), factory lift (4" i think), rear seat, and 23" tire/14" wheels. i was told the upgrades would get me to around 21-24 mph and that the tourque would be around a 70% increase. after installing i was very disappointed to find out that i had absolutely no increase in speed (still at 16 mph) and that even carrying 3 other people up steep hills that i could not tell any difference in tourque! i did several obvious test like checking for hot wires and testing voltage across battery pack but both proved to be good. Any suggestions?

How do you have the controller parameters set?
Have you talked with D&D or whatever vendor you acquired the motor/controller package from?

I'll guess you're still at 36v so a move to 48v is possible for you as well.

BTW,

Did you have the field mapping on the controller changed to fit the new motor? If it is set for your stock PDS motor this could cause issuses with not seeing gains and it could burn motor and controller up. But I agree wit Groves check with your vendor first.

yeah i haved checked with D & D and Alltrax, neither could figure out the problem. we went thru to make sure all the parameters were correct and according to them, they were. they said to send it back to them. i just wandered if anyone else has had the same problem. maybe i just got a bad controller!
