Exclamation Where to ground the radio on the golf cart?

I installed a radio in the dash of the golf cart and tied the power and ground wires in to the wires going to the aux power outlet on the dash. But now, every time I press the gas pedal, all i get on the radio is static. The electric cart is interfering with the radio. Is there a certain place I should ground the radio to to prevent this???

not really, there are some filters out there that will help but for the most part the controller will have that effect on a radio.

I have never used them myself, but I have heard from others that there are line noise filters available. The only other option would be to install a seperate battery (like a motorcycle battery or a marine wet acid battery) in the space provided under the drivers seat and run the accessories from it instead of the main pack.

Another problem is the fact that solid state controllers output pulsed electricity very similar to Radio Frequency (RF). This activity is picked up by the antennae itself as RF noise and is next to impossible to filter out.
