Default Ezgo workshop is telling me I'm dreaming, oil leak and they say no way

I hope you can help me figure this one out. I have an 2008 Ezgo TXT PDS and it leaks oil, the Ezgo dealer said it doesn't, however after I use it oil leaks, I will attach some pictures, it looks like oil is leaking out where the motor bolts onto the diff, in the picture you can see something pinched, I am not sure what it is though.

Can oil leak out of there?

I am not dealer but have rebuilt/worked/serviced over 100 rear axels and they will seep gear oil from the input shaft which is the part that is coupled to the electric motor. If it is not a significant amount there is nothing to worry about.

The last motor I took off for an upgrade had a seeping seal. Now that its been brought up I see lots of them seep. I just clean them off and put motor back on. It really nothing to worry about.

Yeah, there's all sorts of junk in there:

I'm surprised it's not a sealed area, but it isn't. Cleans up real nice if ya wanna:

Thanks for your help and advice, however, it seems to be a fair amount of oil that is leaking, not just the odd drip it is more than that. Is there anyway I can stop the leak?

I would check and see how much oil is in the diff. It may have been over filled and the so called seal can't stop/slow it down.

You are right it was overfull so I took the drain plug off and let it drain out the excess oil, however that was a couple of months ago, Is it possible that oil could have seeped past the seal and still be running out? Although it does seem to be alot of oil coming out?

I have posted this in another thread but I thought it might be handy here if someone needs to try this also.

Please check out the pictures and let me know what you think. I bought this cart new in late 2007 and the motor has never been off. I want to fix this oil leak before the PQ motor goes on.

Is the Plug Cap on back to front and does that matter? I have a new one to install. Not sure if oil is leaking around the plug cap or not because there is oil everywhere in here.

Oil looks like it is leaking around the input gear, I do have some new O'rings, however, not really sure if that will be the problem?

I note on the Dana Axle Manual there are O'rings behind the bearing (motor side)? It also looks like there are O'rings on the axle housing? Which one is more likley the problem?

Do I pull the bumper spline out of the old motor to use in the new motor?

I would appreciate anyones advice that his faced this problem, thanks.

Yes remove the bumper from your old motor for the new one. I would at least remove the input shaft and look at the seal. Keep in mind they all weep a small amount of oil. The input shaft slides out once you remove the snap ring.
