Re: form 36V to 48V with no upgrades
Yes there is a 25 - 30% increase in torque and speed but you can not do it for $20 or $200 unless you just want it to last 10 minutes Do some research and read all you can before you decide if a 48v conversion is for you

Re: form 36V to 48V with no upgrades
Batteries, Charger, Solenoid, Controller, Wires.
Those are the minimum... Personally I have never tried doing a conversion on a Marathon without doing the motor as well. In theory, I suppose the motor would handle the extra voltage, but I will let someone else say if they have left the stock motor on a marathon. The TXT's have a slightly larger motor and handle the change without problem. |

Re: form 36V to 48V with no upgrades
48v works at WOT only and even then it is NOT recommended for Vglide wiper contacts or resistor coil and 5 solenoid carts, period.
I have tried running these carts like this and as soon as somebody gets on them and tries to drive less than WOT it melts components. We got pictures .... End of story. |

Re: form 36V to 48V with no upgrades
I just want to leave everybody else with couple of pictures to explain why we do NOT recommend this type of halfassed conversion or 'boost'.
