Default Fleet Car not working, solenoid doesn't engage

Hello everyone, been a while since I've posted here, anyway I'm back at the golf course and I've got a cart that doesn't work. I'm a bit rusty, it's been two years.

Some people who don't know what they're doing tried to fix the car, and I think they've screwed it up even more.

I'm 90% all of the cables are connected properly, I found some diagrams and corrected their bad wiring, although the connections to the FNR microswitches were not connected, and they said that they had tried to connect them in a bunch of different ways. They may have also screwed up the wiring to the controller a few times, but when I got to it it was connected correctly. I have not looked at the connections to the motor yet, but I think they got those correct (They were labeled)

So, now they think it's done for and called me.

I've checked all of the wiring (except for the motor, getting to it will be hard, they have some weird bed on the back) and the solenoid won't engage. I don't have a multimeter down there, but I would think that the batteries are charged, I'm going to come back again soon with a multimeter and check that out. What I'm thinking is a bad solenoid or a bad controller.

What should I test to try and find this issue?

PS: It's a 2002 TXT Fleet, non-PDS.

Miswiring a microswitch can fry it internally, so check them all with a multimeter for proper operation. Also check the Reed switch as this will disable the cart completely and is easily burned up when crosswired.

I agree with G-man but series cars are notorious for burning up controllers. If you pull off the black box and you can smell burnt electronics then you have a controller burnt.

This car has a history of a burnt FNR switch, so everything under the seat smells of burnt electronics, lol. I'll be back with a multimeter tomorrow morning, so I'll check all I can think of.

Can someone refresh me on how to test a solenoid, I made a picture explaining it once, but that was back on boogers.

Thanks Gorno, it was a bad reed switch. He was saying that it wasn't worth it to try and that he needed to call a professional, 30 minutes later I drove the cart out in front of him, heh.
