Default EZGO RXV Battery/Brake Problem-Fleet Cart

Has anyone else had any problems with an EZGO RXV fleet cart where there is a burning smell from the cart and there is issues with the battery and or brakes that results in brake failure and/or the descent assist not functioning?

Thanks

Nader

The cart was further inspected and it looks at though the 48 volt battery is running below that. Does anyone have any experience with this type of situation?

The brake system on that cart is a clutch system that is mounted on the electric motor. I have seen several solenoids go out and cause the brakes ot lock while moving.

I do know that if you have accessories added to teh batteries the controller can sense the amp draw and will cut off causing the brakes to lock up.

check your charger and make sure its operating properly. Than test batteries and make sure you dont have any bad ones. I have replaced batteries in teh RXV already. these 12V trojans do not last.

Yes, I have a lot of experience with that problem:

A year after I first report it here, I see that I am not alone. Not much comfort in that.
