Default textron charger 26984

I replaced a board on an ezgo textron charger 26984 however since I was not the one who took it apart I need to get the wiring diagram for it or at least some directions in order to get it working

I have a EZ Go Charger model 26984 and when we plug the charger in to the golf cart the needle pegs out and it trips the 50 AMP thermal overload. We've installed all new cables and the batteries seem to be good. What could be the problem?

My son has the Textron 26984. It is not doing anything (hum, etc.). I opened it up and noticed MOV 1 on the terminal block is broken (wire).

What does MOV 1 do? Can I jump around it?

p.s. After noticing the MOV 1 broken I looked at the cart batteries. He had two battery connectors that were broken. So I assume the charger was not kicking in due to it not seeing the required voltage.

Thanks much.

The only thing that it could be is reverse polarity. Check your charger plug for positive & negative. Then the cart plug. If the cart runs fine then it is not the cart. If it doesn't then check batt connections. Remember now, when you hook up the batt bank it is i/e in series neg to pos or pos to neg. Sometimes people will buy one or two batts out of 6 batts and connect them wrong. DO NOT BLAME THE BATT CHARGER YET unless you have a shorted diode in your batt charger.
