Default 22" on stock height txt .

Has anyone "stiffened" up the suspension to accept 22" wheels and stay at stock height or will they just not fit (without cutting plastic)...

Will not fit unless you cut the plastic.

It is not just the plastic they hit the leaf springs and stop the brake peddle from working in a left hand turn

I have to wait till spring to get my gas cart ( )

So until then, I will be removing these tall tires in hopes to regain some badly needed torgue.. Do retailers like Tractor supply or Northern Tool sell tires/wheels close to OEM size that would fit & be cheaper ?

Opinions welcome ( besides Im ugly & cheap. That, I already know) Bill

You wont find many 18" tires with any offroad grip other than new from a cart retailer. If you get the correct steering adapters to relocate your steering arms you should be fine. With only the one pic on the other thread it looks like thats your steering problem. My cart is lift is done similar with the correct steering relocaters and i dont have any trouble. A motor rewind or a larger controller and wires will cost a bit more than a smaller tire change with about the same power in the end. Except with the lift and tires you have now you can get more real world use out of your cart. JMO.......Good luck Mike

I think I read a post on here somewhere, sometime, about flipping the springs on the front and rear to get a couple inches of lift. It would be in your budget also. I don't know if it would except the 22 inch tires though.

I bought one of the oem tire/wheel sets off Ebay. Im starting with the smaller diameter tires, cycling the batteries a few times, and somewhat fixing my steering issue. If all goes well, I should be able to climb the hill (maybe I can post a video link later ;)

I was reassessing the condition of my cart & it needs alot of mechanical work & cosmetic work as well... or she will remain a bushbeater.. Spring cant get here fast enough. Although the gas carts I have driven so far havent impressed me too much.. BUT with the "Corp of Engineers" says walk- or use golf carts my choices are limited. I dont mind putting money into a nicer gas cart- but for me- this cart isnt worth it.. I got the tire set for 125 shipped and a new tire rod end for 18 so I dont have much into this cart (yet) . I will hang on to the 22" since they are near new. They may work on a different cart.
I do apprecheiate the inputs .. Thanks.

Interesting.... But for now, I will be leaving the 4"-5" lift kit & returning to the tiny fat tires.. ( LaBamba )
