86 ezgo pulls when key is turned on
I have a 1986 ezgo that had a broken speed board. I replaced the speed board and then the selonoid acted up so i replaced it next. NOW when the key is turned on the cart seems to try to go on its own but real real slow if on the pavement. It doesn't always, Sometimes it tries to go when you let off the accelerator if the key is on or not. You have to put it in nuetral every time you stop just so it doesn't get a mind of its own and take off. Also when the key is off if you step on the accelerator it operates just like it it supposed to with the key on. Any suggestions? Tired of my cart being "possessed. Please email me if you have a fix or cure at smithsatellitesystems@yahoo.com

Check the accelerator linkage and the position of the movable contact in the stop position.

Linkage is fine. Speed board has 5 contact posts. Bottom contact is open. I can remove both wires to ignition switch and it still operates like it is supposed too. This thing has got to be possessed!

Re: 86 ezgo pulls when key is turned on
The solenoid is activated by a micro on the speed board when the pedal is depressed. Initially the wiper moves off the bottom post and activates the micro and in turn the solenoid, which is when you should start moving. If you are moving before that then the micro/wiper arm position needs adjustment. The cart won't move unless the wiper is on one of the 4 upper contacts. You need to re-verify the wires to/from the solenoid and the speed board.
