Bearing ?
My cart is making a noise by the motor almost like a bearing is going out or something. Before I tear into it, is there a bearing of some sort that hooks to the motor or something?
I know, what a question I can get a video later and post it tonight or tomorrow. |

Re: Bearing ?
there is a bearing in the rear of the motor by the brushes that is prone to making noise.
The bearing gets all the brush dust in it. |

Re: Bearing ?
ezgo part number -- 73120g07. Runs about $20.00.
It will take you longer to get the motor off than it will to replace that bearing. You will have to fully disasemble the motor. It not bad. Just 2 8mm bolts and it comes apart. I usally press the armature out of the bearing, but you can do it with a hammer if you are gentle. I have done it both ways. Just have to be careful when you reasemble that you dont damage teh brushes, but it not hard to get the brushes started over the armature. you will see when you take it apart what i am talking about. There is a snap ring that holds the bearing in the rear housing. |

Re: Bearing ?
Chevy, put the cart on stands and run it
SLOW don't explode the motor. Use a rod touching the outside of your ear and see if you can pinpoint the end making the noise. |
