Question about key switch
I have a friend who has a cart that needs batteries, and has needed them since April. His cart won't run, so if I am not playing golf at the same time he is, he will go to the club house and get an extra ezgo key and use my cart, or use another friend's club car cart. He keeps saying he is going to get new batteries, first in May, then it was June, now it will be September.
I was wondering if you can get a uniquely keyed switch different from the universal switches that ezgo and club car use? This would keep him from just getting it when ever he wanted to, and would keep any one else at the course from BORROWING a cart whenever they wanted to. Please don't crap on my thread and tell me just to tell the guy to quit doing it. He is not the only one that has done it, and I want to make it where I have the only key to it. Thanks in advance. Re: Question about key switch
Yes, keyed ignitions are available from many aftermarket companies. just google search golf cart ignition. also easy to install.

Re: Question about key switch
Ezgo does make OEM individually keyed switches ... they are not cheap but, they are available. Sounds like it would be worth it unless you want to rig a hidden kill switch for much less $ ?

Re: Question about key switch
Scottyb, I didn't even think of a hidden kill switch!
Any pointers about how to go about doing this? Thanks. Bob |

Re: Question about key switch
just throw a on/off switch in series with the key switch.
