Default I need your help!

I just purchased a golf cart for the first time. It didnt come with any batteries and it has sat for years.. I got some batteries in it and I know it works.. But my problem is that I do not know where to connect the positive cable up at. I've tried various of locations and all I get is sparks or smoking (NOT GOOD) so I know that those are Not the places it needs to connect. If anyone has pictures of theirs I would like to see it. I'm afraid that the privious owner had the key connections in the wrong places. This is EZGO Electric 36volt. When I called EZGO they told me the year was a 1976. I will try to add pictures to see if anyone has the same cart. I just want to get it going.... Please, please help..

I tried looking at that picture and its so small I cant make it out. It's very blurry. But it looked like it went to the solenoid, but Im not sure where on the solenoid it goes into.

Yea, it can be hard to read some times.

try here. I find these a little better. between the two you should be able to figure things out.

OK, I got it to move finally.. The diagram was clearer on my cell for some reason... But now by the wire diagram, when I put it into reverse, it sounds the buzzer and goes forward.. And the forward switch is reverse now.. So I switched the motor wires and it worked fine. But then the key does nothing.. And something else I noticed. Is reverse always much faster than the forward gear? It seems to be twice as fast in reverse..

LOL, once again. I need help.. Thanks guys..
