Changing oil on '88 Marathon electric
Hi all,
Wondering where I might find a good resource about how to change the oil on an '88 Marathon. I would imagine there has already been a thread on this somewhere but I didn't have any luck searching for it, so I apologize if this is a repeat. |

Re: Changing oil on '88 Marathon electric
If your talking about the rear end oil it is pretty simple. You will need to drop the differential cover off to drain it all out. Clean up the cover and the differential and reinstall it using RTV as a gasket. Ezgo says to use 30w oil in the rear end. Some like myself have used 75-90 synthetic. Either way there is a drain plug on the side of the cover. With the cart on a level surface just fill through the plug hole until it starts to run back out.
