Default Clicking at Half Throttle

I have question, looking for a little help, I have 83 Marathon, and up until now cart has worked great, but now, I will push the Go Pedal, and it will take off up until about Half Throttle, and then it will start clicking and trying to go, it will do this for a few seconds until full throttle and then take off, but sometimes it will sputter like a car with out gas. Any thoughts or ideas before I start just wasting money on parts for a simple fix?

Sounds like its the foot assembly I think those older ones had potentiometer style pedals could be worn in that one spot.
cars develop similar problems when tps sensor goes bad

Unless someone has upgraded, an 83 did not have a potentiometer. Check the FNR and the accelerator board. Sounds like your contacts in one of those locations.

Well, after tearing in to it, I found that the contact arm that moves from the Pedal up through the contacts on the Board are severely worn out, it looks like it has been arcing from contact to another somewhere in the range that I spoke of earlier, I also found several other issues such as the extremely corroded wires running all over under the hood. It is looking like I need to just replace things while I have it all tore apart.
