22-11-10 tires
I am new to this forum and have a 1993 ezgo marathon electric cart. I have ordered a 4 in lift kit for the cart along with a set of 22-11-10 tires and steel rims. Do I need spacers to complete this project and if so what size and what kind do I need?

Re: 22-11-10 tires
depends on the rims you got. You shouldn't need them but if you got centered rims, you might.

Re: 22-11-10 tires
thanks for your reply. All it says in the listing is they are steel rims. I could not afford aluminum rims at the time. Would it be beneficial to go ahead and get them(spacers( because of the great turning distance or would it matter since it is an older model ezgo. I have included a pic of the tires and rims.

Re: 22-11-10 tires
Spacers are nice because they give the car a wider stance (which means more stability) but from the pic you posted those look like offset rims so you may not need spacers.

Re: 22-11-10 tires
Thanks for the info. I just wanted to make sure I had everything I needed when the lift kit and tires arrived. I read a post where you could use longer studs and washers as a spacer. Would this be adequate if needed?

It will work, but honestly, I don't trust that method.

Re: 22-11-10 tires
99% of the time when you buy a wheel/tire combo they'll have the proper offset. (5X3 I think thats the proper term) I'm like rabbit, I wouldn't do the longer stud with washers for spacers. They do make a screw on stud with a flat machined....thats the second best but I still don't like these.
Then theres the proper spacer. |

no matter what... get a set. At least 2" for the front. 4" lift with 22" wheels will possibly rub when you turn sharp. I had the same issue with 23" wheels.

Re: 22-11-10 tires
ok, I installed my 4 in lift and purchased 4 in spacers for each tire. When I got my tires and rims they was not offset they were centered. So, the back works good like this but the tires on the front rub bad when turning sharp. I took the spacers out and tried that. Works good on drivers side but on the passenger side tire will not go because of the steering arm. What can I do...raise it up another couple of inches?
