New 20s and loss of torque, need help...
Yesterday I put some 20s on my stock, series txt, and now notice a quite a difference in hill climbing ability ”I really wasn’t expecting that much difference “ . So if I upgrade my cables to #2 awg will I regain my torque or do I need to ditch the new tires and go back to the 18s. I’m sure the best thing is to go 48v and new controller but I really can’t justify those changes yet .
Thanks Aircat |

4g cable is enough for all but the extreme builds......it will help but, it still will not get all the torque back though.
If you have that much difference from a 2 inch tire change; maybe look at the battery condition? |

The batteries are less than 1 month old, the controller is cool but the solenoid was pretty warm, maybe too much voltage drop there. Didn't seem like 2 inches would make that much difference.

Best thing would be a 400a controller,Solenoid, HD F&R Switch Cam, and 4g cables .... that would make a big seat of the pants difference... It would be much stronger than going back to the small tires.
