Default 2004 TXT controller

Hello guys, I have a series cart with a Curtis controller in it #25864G09. I'm looking to change to 48 volts and was wondering which controller would work best for me? My cart is lifted with 22" tires on it already and I've put a complete set of 4 ga. cables. I'm more concern about torque than speed. I will be using it in hill country for hunting. I will be needing a HD solenoid also and possibly a HD fnr switch. I plan on using the motor that is in it already. Any info. would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Greg

Default Re: 2004 TXT controller

You will do okay with a 400 amp Alltrax controller and a 200 amp solenoid.with just you in a series cart on 22s... You will have more torque with a 500a amp controller and 400a solenoid. ... 500a would be a must if you wanted to run bigger tires or carry 2-3 passengers

Definitely get the HD F&R. Either the whole unit or the HD Switch Cam will help control the heat at the F&R.
You can get a 480 amp non programmable for about the same price as a 400 amp controller..... most people do not reprogram the controllers.

Hope this helps get you started
