Default Best charger for the money 48 volts

I have a 2006 PDS that I have installed an Alltrax 400 controller with 4 guage wires. Other than that, my cart is stock.
I am going to add two more batteries to make 48 volts.
Looking on Ebay I see these choices:
1. A smart charger from China for $200. Shipping looks very long.
2. A Yamaha charger. Used for around $200.
3. Delta Q for around $450. Will never get this past the wife.
4. Club car. Thanks to this forum I know it won't work.
So I guess that I am stuck in the $200 range. Hopefully you will give me some suggestions and I will place my order.
Thanks

There is a nice Lester on-board available new for about $375
And some good new chargers on the market for under $400
I'm still a believer in Lester products.

Butch, I am not trying to high jack your thread, but I thought I read that it is not a good idea to convert a PDS cart to 48 volts without a motor upgrade. Not sure but you may want to check around before you burn up you stock motor. That could get expensive.

The motor in the PDS carts will do just fine on 48v. Just a little more heat.

Thanks to all who have replied. Still trying to stay in that $200 or so bracket. Is the Yamaha compatable or do I need to look at something else?

I'm not a big fan of the Yamaha chargers but they would be compatible as far as I am aware. If you could find a Club Car (or any Lestronic 48v charger), I think you would be far happier than using the Yamaha.

The Yamaha is only a 17amp charger. I have used them ..... they work okay. They just don't seem to charge the heck out of the batteries? I dunno what it is could be a low cut off setting anybody know what the Yamaha cut off voltage is for 48v?

just remembered, you can't use a stock Club Car charger without modifying it. The 48v club car chargers don't have a timer inside them......
