Default Trouble shooting electircal problem

I just replaced my batteries in a 98 36v ez go. I tried the cart out and it went about 5 ft and quit. I can flip the switch to maintenance/tow and wait 30 seconds and flip it back to run and it will move about a foot and quit. Is there something wrong with my controller or the coil?

You have to charge batteries before you use them... no matter what they say!!!

I have charged the batteries up and it still goes only a few feet and then stops. I have to reset by flipping the switch over to Maintenance/Tow and wait about a minute and then flip switch back to run and it will move about a foot and kick off again.

Hmmmm, thats beyond my comprehension, if its a new cart, maybe the dealer will honor your purchase and fix it for you!!!

I don't know, hopefully others will help!!!

Get a diagram and double and tripple check all our connections, make sue tge are clean and tight. I suppose its possible your controller went south if you had a spark or arced out on something when you install the batteries.

Solenoid is ok.

Take a voltage reading at the cart charge receptacle. This will verify if you have installed the batteries correctly, neg to pos to neg to pos etc.
