There's no voltage going to a stock ezgo key switch (2 pole). If you want to turn lights on with the key, then you need the 4 pole switch for carts with lights. We sotck them in standard key or security (individually) keyed.

Cool Re: Amber Lights

Heres a trick question for mikesmotortoys,

I have a 3-position switch, but it came with no wiring diagram, do you have a diagram, or a way to tell me which letter (stamped next to each contact) stands for what???

This answer will also help coastal carts if they get the 3-position...

That's not a trick question! I don't have a diagram, but when you install the switch in the key plate and are looking at it while sitting in the golf cart seat (holding the plate / switch in the same mannor that it will be installed), the two posts on your right are ignition and the 2 posts to the left are the lights. Make sure you have it positioned correctly - key facing front and posts facing away from you..

Moto - Hunter was corect in saying what he posted. I was assuming you are dealing with a TXT electric? Some older Medalist carts (with the key switch below the seat) did actually have voltage to that key switch. But newer style carts do not, unless someone has already wired it that way.

I didn't say anything about voltage,... ??? what ???
I think that was coastal carts' original question...

About the key, when the key is off, it is supposed to be straight up and down right??? (That way I can tell which contact is which...)

THANKS!!!
