They can be replaced if you use used batteries..... Knowing that the rest of the pack are in poor condition, I wouldn't invest in "new" batteries until you are ready to do the complete set.

I have a friend that can get me a set of green top Interstate 8v's for $540 out the door. I just have to wait a couple weeks.

That is an AWESOME price for those. I sell the same battery at work for $117 each ($702 for the set). Keep in mind that those batteries weigh in at 6 pounds more than a trojan battery (yes, that is 6 extra pounds of lead in there). The only thing I will caution on the green top Interstate batteries is to make sure the ones you get have the "speed cap" on them rather than the individual "bayonet" caps as the ones that have the individual caps do not accept any of the "battery filling systems" currently on the market. Interstate just redesigned the battery to allow for this feature and the redesign moved the lead plates closer to the bottom of the battery instead of the lead riding high in the case like it was originally.

Yeah rabbit, I was looking at the specs for those vs. the t-875's I have now. 6 lbs heavier and better in ALL aspects than the trojans. US Battery has a battery with the identical specs as the Interstates. Actually though I think they are the exact same battery just with a different name. Interstate makes US or vice versa I believe.

US Battery USED to make the Interstate batteries however, in the early part of this year, Interstate had a falling out with US Battery and designed their own golf car battery. When US battery was making Interstate's batteries, they were white with a red top. Since Interstate started making their own, they went to a Black case with a Green top. I have been using them since day 1 of the new production run with Interstate making their own and I am well pleased with the power, functionality and run time of these batteries. The ONLY issue I have with the new black and greens is that the case is about 1/8 of an inch bigger around the base and in SOME cars, this makes for a tight fit.
