Default 2007 ezgo pds speed chip

Installed a speed chip today in my cart and rolled instructions to the letter. Got on the cart to go hunting and no change in performance. I read that someone else had the same problem and they advised to just flip the run-tow switch back to tow wait a few seconds and back to run and let the controller reset itself. Any advise would be great.

Read this and get it into diagnostic to make sure it is seeing the chip/plug

I went back over everything again and double and triple checked everything. And put the cart in diagnostic mode and checked it. I got the four beeps like I was supposed to but still no change in performance. I still have braking too. Does anyone think that the brakes could be adjusted wrong and applying constant pressure or any other thought would help. For something I was so excited to get this is becoming a pain! I need help on this one.

And even with the speed chip working correctly, don't expect wheel stands. It's not that big of a difference felt in the seat of the pants. If you go down hill, you'll be able to go as fast as gravity will take you, but going up hills, you still won't be able to go any faster. Level ground, you'll see a very slight difference if you have stock tires on the cart. If you have larger diameter tires, you'll have to be on level or downhill hard surface to notice any difference. Sorry about the disappointment. I started with one of those little speed chips to. It was shortly after, that I went to the real upgrades. Good luck!

If your cart is lifted - you don't want a speed chip in it anyway! Stay with the Blue steep hill chip, then someday soon, replace that "soon to die" stock controller...

Follow what mike says.

That OEM controller doesn't like speed chips and big wheels/tires.

Thats what I was told today by a couple shops. If I planed on offroading then a good 400 amp controller would be needed sooner or later. They also told me to not go beyond a 400 amp controller on the stock motor.
