Default voltmeter gauge

Hello,

I could use some help finding a good voltmeter gauge for my 96 DCS cart. I have searched several sponsors here but cant seem to find any. I see the SOC gauges but not the voltmeter. I did also order SOC gauge from EZGO through one of the site sponsors. But after reading dozens of post about DCS carts I think the voltmeter will be a good addition as well.

I will be picking up my new US 2200 batteries this Friday and want to get the gauge ordered and installed to help protect the cart and batteries.

Should I go with digital or analog?

I may even have to talk to Scotty about doing a better controller and cables.

A digital meter will give you the best results. I find the battery pack needs recharging after 1 or 2 bars drop on the Curtis meter. If you use the LED bars style check pack voltage after a bar drops off so you know when you should recharge... I find they read full for a long time like a gas gauge.

This is the one that I ordered this morning. Digital w/ .01% accuracy. I got the 8 to 50vdc range. From Newark, $30.

Where would be the best place to wire these in. I am assuming that would be with the key on. Is that correct? What terminal would be best to hook the hot side to. The ground I could just take to the Neg side of battery...

Thanks

Scottyb has a new meter on his website, looks high quality like the rest of his products. I went the cheap route and just got an analog gauge. From what I understand you can leave the gauge wired to the battery pack without having to worry about drainage since they draw is so little. Again, check out scottyb's site and I believe he has a write up. Seems very simple and easy.
