No-one has distilled water, when we re-energize our batteries for cars and ATVs and stuff, tap water works fine as long as you live in an area that has properly treated water...

Also, if the battery is bulging, it will go BOOM, mine did, it hurt... BAD!!!

There is no such thing as tap water that is safe for batteries. Distilled water can be purchased at any grocery store.

I never said it was safe, just that its never affected all the batteries we have filled...

Using tap water is affecting your batteries. But instead of a chemistry lesson lets just leave it at that.
