Off Road Tires On The Road
Hey guys,
Since I am new to this, I need to hear from the experts... What type of tire tread life can I expect from using off road tires on paved streets? If you have experience in this area, please let me have your input. Thanks! |

Re: Off Road Tires On The Road
Been my experience on jeeps that it don't matter that much. And my neighbors street tires on the cart wear about as fast as my off road tires on my cart. But we all run on gravel roads.

I can't believe no one has any input. All these BGW subscribers w/ carts and no one has an opinion.

If you are looking for an opinion: Buy what you like and don't worry too much. (IMHO) If the tires aren't what you wanted, then try something different. Most carts will get many years of use out of one set of tires, but there are so many variables that "YOUR MILEAGE MAY VARY". Tell me how many miles you plan on driving the cart and I'll give you my best guess at to how long a tire will last. Re-state your inquiry with some additional info, then you might get the answer you are searching for. |

Re: Off Road Tires On The Road
I run the Swamp Fox tires and our terrain is 50/50 pavement, gravel/dirt. I would say they are wearing OK for the short time we've had them. Personally I don't think they'll last all that long.
