Testing the Battery Charger
Is there a procedure for testing the Battery Charger?
I have 2 for each of my carts and neither are working by plugging them in to the carts. Thanks |

Re: Testing the Battery Charger
I just bought a cart that I was told only had a bad charger. I was told the cart ran and then the batteries died, When I got the cart home I checked the batteries and they all showed 6 volts. When you step on the gas nothing happens, no clicks anything. When the charger is plugged in it clicks but doesn;t turn on. I was hoping somebody might steer me in the right direction before I drag it to the shop. It is the older 1989 Clubcar. .
To jump the solenoid do I just take a 12 gauge wire from the big terminal that connects to the batteries and jump to one of the smaller terminals. Can a bad solenoid keep the batteries from charging. Thanks |

Re: Testing the Battery Charger
I will get more info off of them. They are the same make and models
I am not sure sure the circuit they were plugged into might have taken a lightening strike and the fuses blew. Neither have a reset button like the older ones I remember and I assume the fuse is inside, so "Disassemble" is in the future. Be back with more input.. Yeah, I know Corny, I saw Short Circuit the other night... |

Re: Testing the Battery Charger
Both are Power Wise Model # 28115G04.
I saw a schematic on the net, but did not see any fuses. I know there has to be one somewhere in there. Any suggestions? |
