Default Jake's Spindle Help

I bought a set of Jake's 6" spindles. Had them powder coated. The powder coater left the plastic caps in the holes of the threads for the brake disk when he baked them at 400deg. Now the plastic is melted in the holes and hard as a rock. I need a plan to remove the hard plastic. Thinking about trying to drill out the plastic without damaging the threads and then run a thread tap to remove the remainder. Do you think this will work and is there any better suggestions that I can consider?

You might try a heat gun, it might get the plastic hot enough to help remove it, I would think it wouldn't damage the powdercoating.

Take it back to the powdercoater. They botched the job, let them fix it. If you damage them fixing it, it's yours and you wasted your money. If they damage it, they can just redo it.

Thanks for the suggestions. I took the spindles back to the powder coater and they were more than happy to fix. They heated up a wire that looked like a close hanger and stuck it in the plastic of each hole and it came right out. Looked like they been there before. Thanks again.
