Power Wise Charger Question
I just bought an EZGO TXt cart that came with a Power Wise 28115 G01 charger. When I charge the cart fully the charger goes off. My question is do I always keep it plugged up with the charger in the cart even when its done charging? Will it automatically kick back on at some point to recharge? I will be storing the cart at the country club so I am unsure if I should always keep it plugged up even if I may not use it for 2 or 3 weeks.

Re: Power Wise Charger Question
You can leave it hooked up but it wont kick back on. You have to unplug it and plug it back in for it to kick back on.

Re: Power Wise Charger Question
Okay, so if it doesn't kick back on, and I don't drive it for 3 weeks, can I expect to have a charge? Let's say I play a round of golf, hook up the charger, and don't play again for 3 weeks. The next time I go golfing will the cart be charged enough to play, or does it lose some of the charge after the charger kicks off?

Re: Power Wise Charger Question
keeping a charger plugged up to it will actuatly discharge the batts after a period of time. your charger had a capaciter and diode in there and they will pull amps while it not charging.
after its charged just flip the run/tow (if you have one) and it will help with battery drain while carts sits. NOTE: No charger attached. |

Re: Power Wise Charger Question
Yes, I have a new line of chargers that will keep the battery pack charged up and ready to go...They are available in 36 & 48 volts $339
A battery will loose 4% of it total charge per week of sitting idle without anything connected to it. At this rate in 3 or 4 weeks it will be ready for a recharge not a round of golf... You can get more info by emailing cartsunlimited@hughes.net |
