Convert 36v to 48v help
Hi guys new to this world,
i currently have a 2003 EZ-go 36v REGEN PDS cart with larger tires, 6inch lift and rear seat. the cart is being used at a family summer home, and mostly long flat roads with some hills to get to beach. I am considering to two options, Option 1. full conversion to 48V, (motor, controller, solenoid, etc) what would i need? and if any sponsers can price it out they can pm me. Option 2. (considering it is for family use) upgrade what i have 36v, to gain more speed/power, all help is greatly appreciated. Cheers. |

Re: Convert 36v to 48v help
You can increase torque and reach speeds up to 24mph and remain on 36v with a controller / Solenoid pkg.

Re: Convert 36v to 48v help
If you want a 48 volt E-Z-GO, the battery conversion is extremely simple. You just get six 8 volt batteries instead of six 6 volt batteries. You then just need a 48 volt controller compatible with the standard motor, and a 48 volt charger.

Re: Convert 36v to 48v help
The nonPDS or Series carts are the slow and steady breed of carts. Long on durability and short on speed. They are perfect for the 48v voltage increase. The result is 25-30% more speed and torque from the stock motor.
