Question How to remove stock electric motor?

I took all the bolts out of the mounting plate and the motor will rotate, but does not seem to want to come out. Is there a trick to removing these motors?
It is being replaced with a D & D motor.

Well I got it by rotating the motor slightly and inserting a steel rod through the mounting holes and beating/tapping on the rod while taking turns on the different mounting holes. I also used a piece of galvanized pipe to leverage up and down on the end of the motor while my son tapped on the rod inserted through the mounting holes. It eventually gave way enough where I could work it back & forth by hand and get it off. The new motor is now on. Now its on to the programmer, solenoid & fuse installation.

Make sure you apply some anti-seize compound on the motor output shaft before reassembly. Makes future removal a breeze instead of a nightmare.

Oh well, I guess I will pull it back out and put it on there, probably worth it. Thanks, Fred
