Default 2010 TXT 48 Volt Freedom Option

What is needed and how do I go about installing new chip for high speed option? Do I need a Curtis hand held programmer to complete the process?

yes you will need to have it programmed. it wont be free unless the dealer wants to give it to ya. EZGO charges us for the freedom code.

I have a "FLEET" model TXT and from reading the service manual it states that the "Freedom" option is not available on Fleet models. I have access to a Curtis hand held programmer, but is there a chip upload that needs to be done prior to hooking up the hand held.

If your cart is a TXT SERIES drivetrain you have no "chip" options. If your cart is a TXT PDS drivetrain you can "chip" it for $5. If your cart is an RXV AC DRIVE I believe a dealer must adjust it.

It is a SEPEX, PDS, 2010 48 vlt. Normal red personality plug will not work on this model.

I missed the 48v part. Different controller used there.
