No Serial # for my TXT - how do I find out what year it is?
My wife bought me a "refurbished" 1994 up TXT at a charity auction. It is a 36V model. The manufacturer's plate is gone. The golf cart dealer that donated it at the auction went out of business.
I'm looking at putting a hi-speed gear in it (probably an 8:1) but it appears from looking on line that I need to know whether it is 97 or ealier or 98 or newer. Thanks. |

Also some pics of the steering is the steering box mounted to the front end?

Thanks, Will post pics of steering. Motor is a D&D High Speed Motor so I don't think that will help.

May be a sticker on the cross bar above the batteries or on the frame rail under the driver's side just in front of the body. All depends on the year.

OK, so we have a TXT Series cart. Could be a '96 or newer, depending on the steering box location. If the box is up under the cowl, it's a '96 to 2001.5. If the box is on the front axle it's a 2001.5 or newer.
