My $500 1998 EZ Go score,wiring ?'s

What do you guys think about this ez go i just got,tell me if i got a good deal?I plan on putting on a rhoxlift kit and 10" rimsI need some of you tech guys to look at the battery compartment and tell me what you find out of place in this picture?any comments will be appreciated.

Looks very nice. The battery compartment looks great for 14 years of use and will look great I expect when you pull the batteries and clean it from gound up. You may find your cable ends getting thin if they have not been replaced.

How does it run as is?

I have never ran it,i have to get it up and running.

If you look up in the top of the photo, there is a set of black and white wires, they arent connected,but look as if they should be.i have a copy of the wiring diagram and im familiar with some electric ez go..just want to get her fixed.

Trace those wires back to where they come from. Based on our 2007 PDS that I just went out and looked at the only wires in that area is where 12 volts was tapped off to run the lights. Based on that I am guessing black/white wires were used once as a 12v power source.

Do the batteries have water over the plates and will the charger work?

This should help you. I just finished rebuilding a 1995 model. I was able to figure everything out from this manual and the fine users of this site. If you have any questions this is to site that you can get the answer.

If you look under the Electric EZGO column you will see the first threads are (stickies) There is a lot of information contained in the stickies. The service manual can be found in there as well. Goodluck.

go to the top of the ez gas forum. there you will find gas tech. open it and go to the one with gold stars. in it find the link to bennett and you will find a free manual for your cart.
