Charging Problems
I have a 2005 lifted EZ Go Cart that runs down too quickly. It has 6 8volt batteries that are new. I am trying to determine if it is the charger or something else. Can someone tell me how to test the charger and or can you charge the batteries individually with a 12 volt charger that has a two amp charge feature but not an 8 volt selection on the charger.

Re: Charging Problems
ehen you say run down, do you mean by a soc (state of charge meter) or by cart power. Whats your drive system - pds or series. What controller. We really need more info.
first of all you need to know the voltage of the battery pack after your charger cuts off. also just because you have new batts does not mean they are good. double check your batts. Make sure they are wired properly and you have 48+ volts on pack. if you dont have a volt meter now is the time to get one. |
