Default Too little charging time.

Hello all. The other day i charged my cart which is in storage. As soon as i plugged it in, the charge meter whent from 20 amperes down to 10 within minutes. I went back 2 hours later and charger was off. I then checked voltage. All 6 were from 6.53 to 6.58 with a pack reading of 39.4 . These batteries are new in april 2010 with proper break in according to threads found here. Is the 2 hour cycle normal, since at new, the cycle was about 12 hours? Thnx for any input... P,S The cart was charged a month before , with no run time in between.

Yes that could be okay, but it is best if you could get the cart out for a 15 minute run and then charge. You would get a more complete charge in this way.

Sounds perfectly plausable to me. They are doing well.

I just got my new Trojans in mid January. I have been taking my cart out for a cruise the past two Saturdays. Rode around for better than an hour yesterday to work the batteries and give them a fresh charge as part of their breaking in. The charger indicated they were under 80% charged and were done charging within 6 hours. After sitting overnight, the pack is at 38.8 volts waiting for me to take her cruising again. Another ride is in store for today.
