Default Which cart?

I have built an old resistor club car and sold it. Now I want to build an ez go. I want to add a larger controller, cables tires and lift. I am tossing around the idea of going to 48v volt as well. It will be used around the hood and on my hunting lease. With that being said, which cart would you recommend/stay away from? Series, PDS, etc. Also is there a sticky that lists which years are which... I'm sure there is overlap so also identifying features. From my experience, anyone selling a golf cart rarely knows if it is a series, pds etc. Thanks in advance! my brother has an 01 PDS with an altrax 400 and it does well.
